About Outglow
We are building a creator network where the work speaks and the community judges — not an algorithm optimizing for outrage, and not a popularity contest decided by follower counts.
Why we built it
Most social platforms reward whoever already has the biggest audience. Post the same photo from a small account and a huge one, and only the huge one gets seen. We wanted the opposite: a place where a single great shot can beat an established name, decided by people actually looking at both side by side.
So we made the unit of the platform a battle — two creators, one head-to-head matchup, judged by the crowd over 24 hours. It is competitive, it is fast, and it puts the work front and center.
What we believe
Participation beats perfection
You earn reputation for entering battles, not only for winning them. Showing up and putting your work on the line is the behavior we want to reward, because that is how creators improve.
Trust should be earned, not bought
Reputation cannot be purchased and does not directly buy reach. It is a credibility signal that makes the voting system harder to game — nothing more, nothing less.
New creators deserve a real shot
A deliberate discovery boost surfaces brand-new accounts so the feed never calcifies into the same handful of names. Everyone gets seen.
Safety is not optional
We run text and media safety checks, a structured reporting system with a dedicated child-safety queue, and clear community guidelines. A competitive platform only works if people feel safe competing on it.
How Outglow makes money
Outglow is free to use. We support the platform with clearly-labeled advertising shown alongside content in the feed, and we do not sell your personal data. Ads are marked as sponsored and are kept visually distinct from creator posts.
