Community guidelines

Outglow only works if it is a place people feel safe putting their work on the line. These guidelines keep competition fair and the community healthy. Breaking them can cost you a post, a battle, reputation, or your account.

Create and compete in good faith

• Post work you have the right to share. Do not pass off someone else’s work as your own.
• Compete honestly. Do not manipulate votes, run throwaway accounts, or coordinate brigades.
• Keep it constructive. Trash talk is part of competition; targeted harassment is not.

What is not allowed

Do not post, link to, or promote content that is:

• Illegal, or that depicts or facilitates harm to anyone.
• Sexually explicit, or any sexual content involving minors — there is zero tolerance, and we report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
• Hateful, harassing, or that targets people based on who they are.
• Violent, graphic, or threatening.
• Deceptive, spammy, or designed to scam other users.
• A violation of someone’s privacy, including sharing private information without consent.

Protecting minors

Outglow maintains a zero-tolerance stance on child sexual abuse and exploitation. We operate a dedicated child-safety reporting queue, preserve evidence as required, and cooperate with the relevant authorities. Our full child-safety standard is published and linked from the app.

How moderation works

Reports route to a moderation team that can remove content, cancel battles, limit features, suspend accounts, and preserve evidence when needed. We act on safety, legal, and platform-integrity grounds. Serious issues are escalated and, where the law requires, reported to authorities.

Reporting a problem

Every post, comment, battle, profile, and message has a report action — use it. Pick the closest reason so the right team picks it up. Child-safety reports are routed to a priority queue. Reporting is confidential; we do not reveal who reported what.
